Yabba Dabba Doo Anniversary

My sister and her husband just recently celebrated their anniversary. My sister has always told me she only wanted my handmade cards, not even kits. Well I have the cutest stamp that a friend gave me and knew I wanted to use it for her and her husband. Anyway, I think the card came out so stinkin cute. Don't you love when a card comes out better than you thought it would, that's how I felt about this one.

I also used the Elizabeth Craft panel card die, but only used one panel. I then used the seperate decorative edge pieces for this die. After I colored the image with Copic markers, I spritzed it with Tattered Angels glimmer mist.

Needless to say, my sister loved the card as much as I did. Time for me to start thinking about bed time so I'm signing off for tonight. Until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

Birthday Card Using Scraps

Just a quick post to share a birthday card I made for my niece using nothing but scraps from my stash. Even the card base was from scraps, that was from another project.

I also used a new die I had that cuts the edge of the card. And then I  made a matching envelope using my envelope maker by We R Memory Keepers (I love that thing). Since this was a 4x4 card  it was nice to be able to make the envelope too.

That's all for tonight, so until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

Birthday/Keepsake Birthday Card using Artbooking

Hello my friends, I can't believe it's been 9 days since my last post. I've been off work but have been so busy trying to catch up on things. I did have a day where my daughter in-law came out to make a birthday card for her friends sons' first birthday. You know how important those firsts are. Here is what she made using the Close To My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge.

She cut the star overlay at 11 inches, however, cut it down to 8x10 so it can be placed into a frame. What is really neat about this cartridge is when you start out your measurement at 11 inches, all the pieces will be cut to fit that size. Even though she cut the overlay down, kept the additional frame and pieces at 11inches. If you set your size at the beginning for 11 inches (or whatever size you need) you only need to set the size once. This was for a little boy so no froo froo, but can you see all the possibilities for a girl? I was told her friend really liked this gift.

There are so many possibilities with the Artbooking cartridges and look forward to knowing as much as possible. If you would be interested in purchasing this wonderful cartridge or seeing what all CTMH has to offer please check out my website.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

Mothers Day Cards

Happy Mothers Day to all of you ladies, whether you have children or not. We are all Moms one way or the other, to our fur babies, nieces, nephews and close friends. For my Mom and my MIL, I made these cards using the Full Card Love Mum die and Mothers Day Clear Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp. These cards literally took just a few minutes to make.

Like I said these took literally minutes to make, the pink one took a little longer because of arranging how I wanted to place the strips. I used double sided take and punched out the hearts using the Creative Memories punch and then glittered them.

I also stamped the hearts on the envelopes that are included  in the stamp set.

These dies are so awesome and I can't wait to use the Fathers Day ones I got at the same time as these.

I again wish everyone a Happy Mothers Day and hope you have a wonderful day with your Moms and children. Until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

Thank You Card

Good afternoon my friends, I've got a little time before work so I'm posting a thank you card for a sweet friend for purchasing from my Close To My Heart website. I used scraps from the Skylark paper collection.

I really like how this came out, I even made the envelope and put that cute stamp on it. That stamp came with the Skylark workshop on the go. These kits are so awesome, because it supplies everything you need to make layouts or cards. If you would be interested in any of the Workshops on the Go, please go to my CTMH website link above.

Well it's just about time for me to get ready for work so until next time, BIG HUGS to you all.

Coloring Glitter Birthday Card

Good Morning my friends. I have a few minutes this morning before getting ready for work and thought I would post this card I made for my Daughter In Laws birthday card. I used a technique that I saw on Scrapbooking Made Simple and wanted to give it a try.

I used Sookwang double sided tape and placed it on a piece of paper and exposed the sticky on the front side. I applied the sticker, I used the paper that I took off the tape to press the sticker down firmly. I then took my microfine glitter and sprinkled it over the entire piece.  Sprinkle off the excess glitter and burnish the entire piece with your finger.  Before coloring make sure all loose glitter has been removed. The last step was just color, I used Copic markers, but you can pretty much use any type. I really love how this looks and plan to use this method again.

I felt the sentiment label needed a little extra something.

I hope everyone has a great day and until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

Scrapbook Layouts

Hello my friends. As you know I am a new consultant with Close To My Heart. I can't believe all the goodies I received with my starter kit. One of the things included was the Skylark Workshop On The Go kit. I created five layouts using only this kit and I still have stuff left over. I am planning on using the scraps and left overs to create cards.

I really like this monochromatic layout. It think it came together so nice.

Okay, I did use my Cricut for the title. And I like the little strips that are at the end of the 12x12 sheets you can use for accents. No waste here.

I wanted to show how versatile this paper can by using it with the Star Wars pictures.

I hope you like what I did with this wonderful paper collection and can see it's not just for frilly pictures. If you would be interested in ordering this kit , you can click on my link above to go to my website.
Until next time BIG HUGS to you all.
