Happy November!

Good Morning my friends! And Happy November! I did a little better posting this time, it's only been a couple of weeks. It's been a very busy time for me, working my part time job, which has lately been full time and still making time for my Cricut Swarms.

As I mentioned in my last post, I was able to attend a Scrapbooking Retreat in Americus Georgia and I had posted several things I had done. Well I have a more things to share this time. Beware! I posted quite a few things, so picture heavy! :)

These are all the cards I managed to get done.

And the layouts I got done.

The Halloween Layout we made for the September Cricut Swarm.

For our October Cricut Swarm we made this mini Christmas Album, using the Close To My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge.

A get well card I made for a good friend of mine.

That's all folks! I have been a busy bee (taking December off from my Swarm) and look forward to the coming holidays! Everyone have a wonderful day and I will see you at the next post! Until then, BIG HUGS to you all.

Another Month Gone By

Hello my friends! I can't believe another month has gone by and I am just now posting. In September I went to a scrapbooking retreat with a wonderful bunch of ladies to Americus, GA. What a blast that was. My project for this retreat was to create all the cards I needed for my October celebrations, October is one of my heavy months. I am happy to say I did it and even managed to get a couple of scrapbook page layouts completed too. So here's what I did,

For my Brother In-Law

My Mother In-Law

My nephew

My sweet friend

My Mom and Dad's Anniversary

For My Sweet Friend

For My Sweet Friend

The Layouts I managed to get done

For My Sweet Friend

There are still a couple of cards I can't show since the recipients haven't gotten them yet. I so enjoyed this time and plan to go again.

Until next time (hopefully it will be sooner than a month, not promising), BIG HUGS to you all!

Thank You and Birthday Card

I can't believe September is almost over and I haven't posted in 3 weeks. What can I say, it's been busy, busy. I do however have a couple of cards to show you.

This was a thank you card I made for a friend who had placed a Close To My Heart Order. I really like the colors and that I used Liquid Glass on the ribbon to give it that shine.

Birthday Card I made for my dear friend Sherry Nodine.

I hope you enjoyed my cards. Now time to start packing for a girls scrapbooking get away. Woot, woot! Until next time BIG hugs to you all.

What Have I Been Up To?

Hello my friends! I know it's been a couple of weeks and it has certainly been a busy couple of weeks. I off today and back on again, but I did want to share what I have managed to squeeze in while I had a little time.

This is a card I made for a good friend of mine that I work with. I used the swing card and gift card die from My Creative Times to create this card. The butterfly die I got for my birthday from The Frantic Stamper.

I made this birthday card for my Boss, who by the way loves owls.  I used the Artbooking Cricut cartridge for the owl and branch. I used liquid glass on the branch to give it that shine and of course googly eyes. I also used a card edge punch to make that edge on my card. The card base is from a box of premade cards I bought at my recent Scrappies crop.

That's all I have to show for now, I'm still working hard at staying on top of things, but this working thing really gets in the way of my fun work.

Until next time BIG HUGS to you all!

My Creations Album

Hi my friends! Can you believe I'm posting again so soon???? I really wanted to make a point to post again before having my Close To My Heart Open House, which happens to be Saturday, August 23rd. I'm really looking forward to having my friends see some of the new things that CTMH has to offer.

What I want to show you is an album I created using the My Creations Kraft 3-ring Album and the Ariana paper collection (unfortunately this line has been discontinued). Once I started putting this book together I decided to use it as a Customer Contact Book. I know we have all our devices to store information, but sometimes, I just want to put my hands on something more tangible, plus it's a lot prettier.

I used the exclusive to CTMH Cricut cartridge Artbooking to create the dividers and the white pages. I really like how this came out, so much so, I am thinking about doing a Christmas project at my Cricut Swarm to create a mini album.

I hope you like this project and hope everyone has a wonderful day. Until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

What Have I Been Up To?

Hello my friends, I know it's been a month since my last post. I have had so many things going on there just didn't seem to be enough time. I did make a couple of projects and I just got back from a weekend Scrapbooking retreat which was so fun. It was really nice just scrapbooking, here are some pictures from the retreat.

I think I need to trim my bangs and my hat was a little bit big, I have such problems wearing hats, my head is to small. I know, hard to believe.

Can you tell it was western themed??? It was lots of fun.

I wanted to share a Thank You/Welcome card that I made for a new Close To My Heart customer. All the products were CTMH items. I just love how my little foxy came out.

The paper is from the Ariana paper line even the bow is from that line, unfortunately  Ariana has been discontinued.

I hope you like the card and look forward to sharing more with you sooner this time.

Have a wonderful day and until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

A Little Late

Hello my friends! I know I'm a bit late posting my Fathers Day cards. I've been really busy working my part time job and working my Close To My Heart business, plus starting the Callahan Country Bugs Cricut swarm back up. Had our first swarm in June and working on Julys. It was such fun and am really looking forward to the next one. I'm also posting the pictures from the Swarm.

These are the cards I made for Fathers Day using Simon Says Die and Stamp set. I just love how quick I was able to put these together. These could also be cut apart and just use the words you want. I'll have to try that.

My first Cricut Swarm. Had a wonderful turn out and look forward to Julys swarm.

Linda with her free style card she made.

I was so pleased that everyone seemed to enjoy the projects they were making.

Frances with her creation.

Debbie with her card.

Freda with her card and Freda hardly ever does cards.

Layout we are going to make at the July Cricut Swarm, using CTMH Artbooking cartridge

And finally, the card we're going to make. I'm showing a cool technique, coloring glitter.

I hope you enjoyed seeing all the pictures and projects and wish everyone a wonderful day. Until next time BIG HUGS to you all!

Paper Nest Dolls Rubber Stamps

When I went to a scrapbook convention a month or so ago, I bought the cutest stamps by Paper Nest Dolls. This is the first one I've been able to use for a very good friend of mine. Even though, we aren't actual sisters, I feel like we could be so I used the Best Friends/Sister stamp. I practiced with my Copics and have picked up some techniques, but still got to work on it. I still love how this came out.

I also used some Sizzix dies to make the frame and the sentiment. The background paper is Balloon Ride and sparkly tape is  from Close To My Heart.

I hope you like my card as much as I loved putting it together.

Until next time BIG HUGS to you all!

Quick Post

Hello my friends. I have a few minutes and wanted to share with you the graduation card I made for a sweet friend of mines daughter. I saw this type card that someone had made and just adapted it to Tiffanys school colors. I know her parents are so proud of her. I can still remember when my friend Donna, found out she was pregnant with Tiffany. I still see myself fanning her because she was having hot flashes, good times and great memories. Even though Donna and I don't see each other, I will always cherish our friendship and our memories.

I know it was a wonderful day for Tiffany and  I feel honored to have contributed in a small way. Best of luck Tiffany in everything you do.

Until next time BIG HUGS to you all!

Thank You Card

Hello my friends, sorry it's been 2 weeks since my last post. Between working my part time job, working my Close To My Heart business and  starting a weight loss program I just haven't had a lot of time to post.  However, I have completed some projects. I wanted to share a thank you card I made for a friend of mine using scraps and an embellishment.

I really like how this came together and it was really easy to make. I then made the envelope using my envelope maker, love that thing!

I hope to post sooner than 2 weeks, but no promises. Until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

Yabba Dabba Doo Anniversary

My sister and her husband just recently celebrated their anniversary. My sister has always told me she only wanted my handmade cards, not even kits. Well I have the cutest stamp that a friend gave me and knew I wanted to use it for her and her husband. Anyway, I think the card came out so stinkin cute. Don't you love when a card comes out better than you thought it would, that's how I felt about this one.

I also used the Elizabeth Craft panel card die, but only used one panel. I then used the seperate decorative edge pieces for this die. After I colored the image with Copic markers, I spritzed it with Tattered Angels glimmer mist.

Needless to say, my sister loved the card as much as I did. Time for me to start thinking about bed time so I'm signing off for tonight. Until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

Birthday Card Using Scraps

Just a quick post to share a birthday card I made for my niece using nothing but scraps from my stash. Even the card base was from scraps, that was from another project.

I also used a new die I had that cuts the edge of the card. And then I  made a matching envelope using my envelope maker by We R Memory Keepers (I love that thing). Since this was a 4x4 card  it was nice to be able to make the envelope too.

That's all for tonight, so until next time BIG HUGS to you all.
