Happy Mail

Hello my friends. I don't have a project to share today, but wanted to share with you the happy mail I recently received. I'm actually working on my Valentine cards, so I can't show them right now, they are still a work in progress.

There is a blog I go to quite often. The owner is Kristina Werner and her blog is called kwerner design.
Here are the links        www.kwernerdesign.com.  www.simonsaysstamp.com

I really like her blog, she has videos several times a week. She can be found on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Tweeter. I think there are a couple of other places too. One of the last videos she made she used the stamp sets I received today. I got them from Simon Says Stamps and the stamps are by Paper Smooches. I just thought it was so cute, I had to order them for myself. I can't wait to try them out.

I also got the new CardMaker magazine. I love getting my magazines.

Well that's all for me so I want to wish everyone a great week and BIG hugs to you all.

Project Life Album

Good evening my friends. I hope everyone has been having a good week. I was fortunate enough to have this past weekend off and had a good friend come over to do some crafting. She made her Valentine cards and I made a card for a friend and was able to work on my Project Life album.

Becky Higgins created these albums to get pictures in scrapbooks to preserve them, versus sitting in boxes. I love to scrapbook, but I have so many old photos (the ones I worked on are 2001 & 2004)  I needed something to help me along. These albums have photo slot pages that need little or no embellishments. I wanted to share with you what I put together for these few pages. I do want to apologize for the poor quality of the photos, it was night time and just couldn't get good shots but you will get the idea.

I got my kit from QVC that included the pages and the journaling cards. I know Michaels now carries these albums and everything you need to put them together. If you just need to get your photos in scrapbooks, but don't really have a lot of time to do the traditional scrapbooking, then give this a try.

Well it's back to work for me tomorrow, so have a wonderful weekend and BIG hugs to you all.

Happy New Year Card

Hello my blogging friends. I am so happy to be off for a few days to start undecorating my house and get it back to normal. Today, I had a friend come over and we did some crafty things. I made this card for my sweet friend, who reminded me that I didn't give him a Christmas card, so I made this in-lieu of it.

As you can see, this stamp is kinda limited so I was glad to be able to pull it out, but it's so darn cute.

Once I finished the card I started working on my Project Life album.  I'll post what I've done when I finish for the night.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card and want to wish everyone a wonderful weekend and BIG hugs to you all.

Birthday Card

Hello, my blogging friends. I was looking through a Cardmaker magazine and they have a section for different challenges for each week. The one I was looking at was for June, but the challenge was to create a card, layout etc. inspired by a favorite movie. Since I had my nephews birthday coming up I decided to take that challenge for his card. Here are the photos of the card and see if you can tell what movie I based the card on.

I used an action wobble for the shield so it would have movement.

Okay, I admit it was probably pretty easy to figure out.  Anyway, I do love Captain America and so looking forward to seeing the next movie this year.

I hope you enjoyed my card and until next time BIG hugs to you all.

Happy New Year 2014

I know it' been a while since I have made a post, but time simply got away from me. I am happy to say that it is my goal to post a bit more often.  However, even though, I didn't post I did do a few things and I want to share them with you now.

These are the place cards I made for Thanksgiving dinner. I was going for the snow globe look.

Here are the Christmas cards I made for mailing out.

We had Christmas Eve and Christmas Day celebrations in our new house and I just have to say I enjoyed it so much.  It was a little chaotic, but fun.  I look forward to doing that again next year. I wanted to share some of the pictures from our family celebrations.

Last but certainly not least are a couple pictures from our New Years Day Lunch. We made sure we had our greens, black eye peas, ham and cornbread. It was so yummy.

This is at my brother and sister in-laws house. Unfortunately, my honey couldn't be with us, he was working.

I want to wish everyone a wonderful and prosperous New Year and give BIG hugs to you all.

Birthday Card For My Nephew

Hello my friends, I have another card for you. This one is for my nephew who turned 10 on October 9th. It's usually so hard for me to figure out what to do for males no matter what their age is. I decided to make my nephew a card themed around Halloween. The card is 6x6 in size and I made the owl at 5.75, I realized I should have made the owl a little smaller, but it's good, he still loved it. Even though, my nephew is just 10, he really loves getting my homemade cards.

I also utilized my envelope punch to make the envelope. I  used 3 action wobbles to give it a little jiggle.

I hope you like  my project, I really enjoyed making it.  Have a wonderful day and BIG HUGS to you all.

Stampin Up Stamp and Punch

Good morning my friends, I hope everyones weeks is go well, my time off is just starting. A couple of weeks ago I hosted my first scrapbooking gathering in my new craft room. One of the things that I really needed to do was get some cards made. I had just recently bought from my friend, who just became a Stampin Up consultant, the stamp set Four Frames and the decorative punch that goes with it. I decided to make 4 cards using the one set.

The top left for a good friend, the next one for my brother in-law, next for my best friend and the last one for my Mother In-Law.

I just recently bought the envelope punch and made the envelopes, I am really loving that punch board, it's so easy to use.

The cards with their special envelopes. I ended up not using the stamp set for the Love card, but did make the envelope.

I hope you like my projects, I really enjoyed making them.

Have a great day and BIG HUGS to you all.
