February Birthday Cards

Hello my friends! I hope everyone is having a good week and hope your upcoming weekend will be beautiful! I'm hoping the sun will be shining here in N. Florida. Since March is almost here, I think it's safe now to show you the birthday cards I made for  February. I had to make sure they were all delivered before I posted them.

This card was made using the Creative Time Die, Surprise Pop-Out Card die and used Paper Smooches stamps Calorie Free and Sentiment Sampler. I also used the background stamping technique by Kristina Werner. I also, made the flag the way Kristina does on her YouTubes. If you've never seen any of Kristinas' YouTubes, you should check them out. I learn a lot from her.

This card I made for my dear friend Julie. The stamp I used is Riding A Zebra by Ducks In A Row, Joan Farber. This is one of the very first stamps I ever purchased and it was so nice bringing it back out. I colored my lovely lady with Copic markers and used a Martha Stewart edge punch.

This is the final card I had for February, for my sweet friend Paulie.  Actually, Paulie's card was the first to be made, but the last one to be delivered. This is another older stamp I have and was so happy to pull it out and use it. The stamp is Hibiscus Blossam by Rubber Stampede. Again I used the Martha Steward edge punch and colored the flowers with Copics.

Now that February is done, I should have already begun my March cards, but unfortunately, haven't even started. I have ideas, just haven't implemented them yet.

So my friends, I hope you have enjoyed the cards and until next time BIG HUGS to you all!

Project Using Vinyl

Hello my friends. I hope everyone has had a wonderful Valentines weekend, unfortunately I was working, but that's okay. I am now off for the week and am ready for some down time.

I have a Nook, for those who don't know what that is, it's like a Kindle, but put out by Barnes and Noble. I recently bought a new cover and colors were limited, I ended up getting a black one. After I got it decided I wanted to decorate it some way. Here is what I did:

This is the front of my Nook. I can't remember where I got the flowers from, but decided it needed a little extra so I punched the circles using white vinyl and then stamped them with Staz On ink.

This is the back, the phrase is from the Cricut cartridge, Vinyl Art and of course the Mickey head is from Cricut cartridge Mickey Font.

I wasn't sure how well the vinyl would stick to the leather, but it's holding up pretty good. However, my "w" is coming off so I need to figure a way to make it stick better. I'm thinking I might try using a clear coat spray paint.  We'll see how it goes. I do like how it came out and remember how fun vinyl is. I need to start making things for my walls.

Well that's all for me tonight, until next time BIG HUGS to you all.

Valentine Cards

Hi everyone! I know I shared the valentine cards that I made for my friends and family. But now, I would like to show you what I made for my sweetie. I'm so happy with the card and I even decorated a plain brown gift bag.

The cricut cartridge I used for the cell phone was Paisley. I couldn't put to much bling since this is for my guy. The gift bag I just cut some paper to size used an edge punch and a love stamp. I already had the double heart saved on my Gypsy so I don't remember where it came from.  And I just love my little mouse stamp, which I've had forever, but love House Mouse.

I have another project (not valentine) I'm going to share with you, hopefully, tomorrow. In the meantime,
BIG HUGS to you all.
